Experience the beauty and spirituality of the Himalayas, the source of the Ganges, the birthplace of yoga and the current home of the Dalai Lama. Starting with the imperial capital city of Delhi, travel through the fertile plains of Punjab, visit the famous Golden Temple. Drive through rolling hills and apple orchards to Dharamsala, the home in exile of the Dalai Lama, before continuing on
winding roads through ever-changing vegetation and spectacular mountain backdrops visiting the imperial summer capital of ShimlaThe Himalayan Foothills

Day 1: Europe / Delhi
Leave for Delhi. Night in the flight

Day 2: Delhi / Amritsar (Train)
Arrive Delhi in the morning. Visit of Old Delhi - Former centre of Moghul Power.Later visit Lutyens designed New Delhi, including the India Gate, the Parliament House & the Presidential Palace. Afternoon transfer to railway station to connect train to Amritsar the holiest place for the Sikhs. Arrive and check-in at hotel. Overnight.

Day 3: Amritsar
Morning visit the Golden Temple the most sacred place for the Sikhs. The temple is a magnificent work of architecture and the dome on the top of the temple is made of gold. Afternoon visit the Jalianwala Bagh which witness the barbaric killing of thousands of people who assembled there peacefully by British police during its Raj in India. Time free for independent activities.Overnight.

Day 4: Amritsar / Dharamsala
Morning leave for Dharamala. Drive closer to the panoramic Dhauladhar ranges and upto the enchanting town of Dharamshala. Afternoon explore the town, replete with Tibetan culture and the residence of His Holiness, The Dalai Lama. Overnight

Day 5: Dharamsala
Imbibe the magic of the ‘White Ranges’ and of history and nature as much as you can while visiting the Tibetan Monastery, St.John’s church in the wilderness, Trichund Peak, Odichi huts, Dal lake, Naddi. Shop in the bazaar for Tibetan handicrafts in the evening. Overnight.

Day 6: Dharamsala / Paragpur (75 Km)
Morning leave for Paragpur – India’s first declared heritage village. A quaint hamlet, its rustic beauty enhanced by its cobbled streets and mud plastered and slate roofed houses. Afternoon time free for relax. The landscape is beautiful with a rich variety of flora, fauna, bird life, innumerable small
monuments and a special rural ambience for walks. Overnight.

Day 7: Paragpur / Palampur /Taragarh (140 Km)Palampur
Morning leave for Taragarh at the foot of the Dhauladhar mountains with splendid views of surrounding snow-capped peaks. One can visit the Tashijong Monastery which has a commanding view of the Kangra valley. Afternoon visit the ancient Baijnath Shiva temple, the Tibetan carpet weaving factory, Tanka paintings, the Andretta Pottery village - specializing in ethnic clay pottery. Overnight.

Day 8: Taragarh / Shimla (230 Km)
Morning depart for Shimla, the old summer capital of the British in India Shimla located at an altitude of 2200 meters is magnificently robed in dense forests of oak and pine, fur and rhododendron Afternoon, a short walk to the Mall , the Viceroy Lodge and other buildings of the colonial era.Overnight.

Day 9: Shimla
Morning excursion for Kufri, situated at an altitude of 2510m. Enjoy the Yak ride which leads upto Mahasu peak. Return back to Shimla. Time free for relax. Overnight

Day 10: Shimla / Kalka / Nalagarh (200 Km)Shimla
Morning leave for Nalagarh. Arrive Nalagarh, located on a hillock at the foothills of the mighty Himalayas affording a panoramic view of the Shivalik Hills. Overnight

Day 11: Nalagarh / Chandigarh / Delhi (Train)
Morning leave for Chandigarh the well planned city designed by the French architect Le Corbusier. Enroute visit the Pinjore gardens. Arrive Chandigarh and transfer to railway station to board on the train back to Delhi. Arrive and overnight.

Day 12: Delhi / Europe
Morning breakfast. Leave for airport to connect flight for Europe
